Strong system drenches the whole Madhya Pradesh with heavy rains

In the ongoing season strong system of the monsoon season has drenched the entire state, in Bhopal, it has rained heavily intermittently with light rainfall since morning.

There was drizzle in Indore. More than 4 inches of rainfall was recorded in Seoni. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 30 districts in the next few hours.

On Monday, light rain also occurred in Ratlam, Betul, Narmadapuram, Ratlam, Ujjain, Damoh, Jabalpur, Khajuraho, Sagar in the state. In Seoni, between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, 106 mm i.e. more than 4 inches of rainfall was reported in the past 24  hours. Bhopal, Mandla and Malajkhand of Balaghat district received about 45 inches of rainfall. Houses were filled with water after the rain in Chhindwara.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Narmadapuram and Dewas in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain with moderate thunder along with lightning in Sehore, Bhimbetka of Raisen, South Vidisha, Harda, South Seoni, South Balaghat.

Earlier, on Saturday night, rain water filled the houses built in the low-lying areas of Chhindwara, 8 inches of rain fell in Sarani of Betul from 12 on Saturday night to 8 am morning on Sunday, 11 out of 14 sluice gates of Satpura Dam were opened. Narmada was flowing 3 feet above full level. Due to this, water also increased in Omkareshwar, Indira Sagar Dam.

Senior Meteorologist said Cyclonic circulation, low pressure area, monsoon trough along with moisture coming from Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea have caused strong activity of rain. There will be heavy rain in the next few days.

After heavy rains in Narmadapuram, low lying areas were flooded with more than two feet of water.

After rains in Sehore district, roads and houses were flooded.

There was a landslide on the way to MP's highest peak Dhoopgarh. Tourists will not be able to go to Dhoopgarh for the next 2 to 3 days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a high possibility of lightning in the entire state in the next 1-2 days. People have been advised to take precautions.

In Bhopal, 49.6 mm i.e. 1.9 inches of rain fell in the last 24 hours. Including this, 476.3 mm i.e. 18.7 inches of water has fallen so far, which is 50% of the total rainfall of the season. Due to heavy rains, the water in Bada Talab increased by 1 feet and the level reached 1662.40 feet. Now it is only 4.40 feet empty. The full tank level of the pond is 1666.80 feet.

On Sunday, there was heavy rain in the catchment area of Bada Talab. At the same time, due to rain in Sehore district, the Kolans river also flowed 11 feet above the level. On Monday morning, the level came down to 8 feet. The water of the river is rapidly increasing in Bada Talab. Due to this, the water level of the pond is also increa

sing.

The water of Kolans river reaches Bada Talab. When the pond is full, the gates of Bhadbhada Dam are opened. The gates of Bhadbhada will open when about 4 and a half feet of water falls. After this, the gates of Kaliyasot Dam will also open. Let us tell you that Kolans, Bada Talab, Bhadbhada and Kaliyasot Dam are connected to each other.

This time the monsoon entered Bhopal on 23 June. Since then, the rainy season has continued. Due to this, half the rain has already occurred in a month. The total normal rainfall in Bhopal is 37.6 inches. In comparison, 18.7 inches of water has fallen so far.

The average rainfall in Bhopal in July is 367.7 mm i.e. 14.4 inches. More than 9.6 inches of water has fallen in Bhopal from 1 to 21 July. Now about 5 inches more water is needed to complete the quota of July.

Meteorologists said that there is a trend of heavy rain in the second fortnight of July. Similar weather is prevailing this time also. It has been raining continuously since July 15. Now since there is a strong system. Therefore, the period of heavy rain will continue.
