The Mineral, Revenue, and Police Department, led by Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi in Betul, recently took action against the sand mafia and registered many mineral cases and also criminal cases in compliance with the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to take strict action against the sand mafia.
After a quick hearing of the mineral case registered against the sand mafia, Additional Collector Betul resolved the cases of sand mafia and took action to impose a penalty of Rs 1 billion 37 crore and confiscate 02 Poclains and one JCB worth Rs 1 crore 25 lakh under Rule 22 on June 5, 2024, under Rule 18 (6) of the Madhya Pradesh Mineral (Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transportation and Storage) Rules 2022.
