State Police invites applications for Mahila Munshi

Female Munshis will be appointed in every police station of the state. Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta has invited applications for this.

In the issued application form, some conditions have also been kept for becoming a female munshi. Only after fulfilling those conditions, female police personnel will be appointed as munshi in the police stations.

According to the issued letter, only those female police personnel should fill the form who are ready to work for a long period i.e. 12 to 14 hours as per the requirement in the police station. For this, they will have to mention the name of their home district, current posting and unit.

While filling the application form, it is also to be told which local language of Jharkhand they know. If the applying female constable knows any local language of Jharkhand, then she will be posted in the police station where there is a population of tribal community.

If the female constable knows good English, then she will be posted as a female munshi in the police stations of the city. At the same time, the applicant should also know Hindi and English typing.

In the recruitment of Mahila Munshi, such female constables will be given preference, who have 5 years of experience in any department of the administrative office of the police station. Also, they have been selected as Nirbhaya Shakti constable for the women's police station in the past. In the application form, the female constable will also have to tell whether she was given any kind of punishment.

Apart from this, if she has been rewarded for any work, then also information about it has to be given. Policemen applying for Mahila Munshi also have to give the names of 5 districts. They will be posted in one of these.

Regarding this, the DGP said, "During the Mahila Police Conference, it was decided that at least a female munshi will be deployed in every police station of the city."

Chief Minister Hemant Soren has also discussed this matter with Gupta several times.
