The state government has constituted a State Level Coordination Committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary for the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme.

The committee comprises Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary/Secretary, Energy, Finance, Urban Development and Housing, Panchayat and Rural Development, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Energy Development Corporation Limited.

Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary, New and Renewable Energy will be the Member Secretary. And Chairman, State Level Bankers Committee will be the Co-Member Secretary.

The committee will regularly review the progress under all the components of the scheme. Necessary coordination between departments for the implementation of the scheme, preparing an action plan to saturate all government buildings with rooftop solar.

Monitoring and supervising the implementation of the action plan. Especially, ensuring awareness, capacity building for rooftop solar among the beneficiaries of other schemes of the government and coordination between departments at the field level for the implementation of the scheme. Regularly reviewing the progress of the scheme (maximum in 3 months), so that the target can be achieved within the time limit. Issuing necessary instructions to successfully complete the scheme. The responsibility of coordinating with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India regarding the implementation of the scheme and suggesting measures to improve the implementation of the scheme in the state will be discharged.
