Spell of heavy rains continue in several districts of Madhya Pradesh

Spell of heavy rain continued in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, several districts witnessed heavy rainfall in many districts including Bhopal and Indore. The highest rainfall of 2.9 inches was recorded in Nowgong of Chhatarpur district. 2.1 inches of water fell in Rewa. Nearly 1 inch of rain was recorded in Bhopal and Tikamgarh.

Rainfall was witnessed in Mandla, Dhar, Gwalior, Khandwa, Raisen, Ratlam, Damoh, Jabalpur, Sagar, Umaria, Malajkhand. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in many districts in the next few hours.

Since morning, there was drizzle, sometimes heavy and sometimes drizzling rain in Bhopal. Due to this, the roads were flooded in many areas of the city. Nearly one inch of rain was recorded in Bhopal.

Meteorological Department, Bhopal said that 3 cyclonic circulations are active in the state. Moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal and at the same time, the trough line is also passing due to this, a strong system of rain is formed in the entire state. Its effect is more in the northern and eastern parts.

Rain started with strong winds in many areas of Indore on Sunday afternoon. With the sudden cloud cover in the eastern and western parts of the city, a period of strong winds started. During this, light drizzle was seen in many parts and heavy rain in many parts.

Heavy rain occurred in Mandla on Sunday evening. Clouds were there since Sunday morning and the weather remained cool due to drizzle in between. But in the evening, the city got drenched due to heavy rain for about half an hour. One and a quarter inch rain was recorded here. The month of June was passing and the farmers were eagerly waiting for the monsoon rain.

Shajapur was the coldest city in the state. The day temperature here was 25.4 degrees, while 22.4 degrees was recorded at night. The mercury remained below 30 degrees in Pachmarhi, Umaria, Naugaon, Malajkhand, Sagar and Seoni. Talking about big cities, Bhopal recorded 30.2 degrees, Indore 31.6 degrees, Gwalior 34.6 degrees, Jabalpur 30.5 degrees and Ujjain recorded 32.2 degrees.
