Divisional Railway Manager cum Chairman Sersa Ranchi Jasmeet Singh Bindra inaugurated the Hockey Summer Camp at Sersa Astroturf Hockey Stadium, Hatia on Wednesday. In this hockey summer camp, children between 8 years to 14 years will be given hockey training.
The Railway Administration is always striving to increase sports facilities, and is always ready to encourage the players. Many women players of Ranchi Railway Division have played at the international level and three players of the division including the captain are included as important members in the current Indian women's hockey team. This summer camp has been organized to help the children further hone their sports talent, in which children will be trained by former national, international players as well as current players.
Today more than 60 children from various schools participated in this summer camp.
On this occasion, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager cum Sports Officer Nishant Kumar, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Ramesh Singh, former international women hockey player Sumrai Tete, Asunta Lakra, General Secretary of Sersa Ranchi Omprakash Thakur and other players and parents of children were present.
