Special combing operation held in the State, 725 arrested

As per the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh Police is in action to curb crimes. Criminals are being continuously arrested in the state. In this sequence, in the  night of Saturday , the police of the entire state went out on a night combing operation simultaneously at the same time. This night combing operation, conducted under the guidance of DGP Sudhir Saxena, included IGs, DIGs, SPs, SDOPs, police station in-charges in all districts and all officers/employees of Bhopal and Indore Police Commissionerate.

More than 15000 policemen of the state participated in this operation, which also included 370 DSPs and high level officers. The DGP himself remained on the streets throughout the night and he reached BNP Dewas at 1 am, Kotwali Sehore at 2.30 in the night and Kohefiza police station at 4 in the night to take stock of the night combing operation. Also, in the night itself, he talked to the Zonal IGs and got information about the night combing operation in their districts.

This combing patrol was conducted with the aim of public safety, maintaining peace and law and order in the state and instilling fear in criminals. In the combing patrol, the arrest of absconding criminals, execution of all permanent and arrest warrants and checking of district banned criminals were ensured.

For the combing patrol, maximum police force was gathered at all the district headquarters and briefing was done in detail and after giving information about the action to be taken, different teams were formed and sent for combing patrol. During this patrol that went on all night, about 8 thousand criminals and warrants were caught.

During this state-wide combing patrol, more than 5000 criminals with arrest warrants, about 2500 permanent warrants, about 75 absconding criminals and more than 1800 district banned criminals were checked, some district banned criminals were found violating the conditions of district ban, against whom separate action is being taken.

More than 125 miscreants wanted in various crimes, on whom reward was declared, were arrested. Along with this, success has been achieved in catching more than 650 other wanted criminals in the combing campaign.

In the state-wide night combing operation, the police was directed to fully follow the legal process and was also directed to take special care that no one is misbehaved with. It was also directed to maintain complete decency in dealing with women and children.

The Chief Minister had instructed the police to conduct after he visited the Police Headquarters on May 31, 2024. During this, he had instructed the senior police officers to conduct continuous inspection including night patrolling.
