Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted ongoing efforts in good governance under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. In this context, significant reforms have been introduced in Madhya Pradesh's transport sector, including the imminent implementation of a new check post system. Dr. Yadav emphasized that effective July 1, measures have been initiated to eliminate existing irregularities and establish a transparent framework at transport check posts crucial for interstate vehicle movements, in collaboration with relevant district administrations.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is known for good governance. Strict action will be taken by the state government if complaints are received regarding the transport system. The new system will not cause any inconvenience to the operators of heavy vehicles. By resolving the complaints, arrangements have been made to conduct the basic work of the Transport Department in a better and cleaner manner.
In a video conference from Samatva Bhawan at the Chief Minister’s residence, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed the administrative and police officers associated with all the districts to provide necessary support to the Transport Department in the new system. Now flying squads will work in the border districts of the state under a new arrangement. Operators of outside vehicles will not face any issues. The new transparent system will prove useful for everyone.
Yadav directed that the Transport Department should organize camps in colleges to make driving licenses of students. While operating passenger buses, the rule of running the bus from the designated place should be followed. Time table should be followed. School buses should also be checked. Attention should be given to improving rural transport services. In the video conference, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Transport S. N. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Raghavendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Public Relations and Aviation, Sandeep Yadav and other officers were present.
Features of Gujarat Pattern and its introduction in Madhya Pradesh
• Necessary arrangements have been made in the state by taking the initiative to increase the revenue collection of the Transport Department and implement a systematic working system. Complaints can be resolved. The problems of drivers and operators will be solved. An important decision has been taken under Ease of Doing Business in the state.
• There will be checkpoints in place of check posts in the transport sector. Mobile flying squads will work in districts adjoining other states. There will be a total of 45 checkpoints.
• Necessary arrangements have been made for 211 home guards in the state who will provide services.
They have been posted in the districts allotted under the new transport system. Home Guard jawans will do their duty respectively.
• Work will be done in the state as per the pattern applicable in Gujarat state.
• Mobile teams will work in place of transport checkpoints. The staff posted at the checkpoint will change from time to time.
• Special arrangements are being made in 26 districts of the state, bordering districts have been selected.
