A seminar was organized on the discoveries and ideologies of geographers in the development of geography by the students of the Geography Department, Graduation Semester-llll of G M. Evening College, Ichak, Hazaribag. This program was organized under the direction of Geography Department Head Deependra Kumar. In this program, college director Vinay Kumar, college principal Shambhu Kumar, college examination controller Ranjan Kumar, former head of geography department Riyaz Ahmed as well as teachers from various departments were present as chief guests in this program. Addressing this program, college director Vinay Kumar said that at present the climate is changing rapidly. Students will have to understand the contribution of geographers to understand this changing climate and will have to control the rapidly increasing global warming in time, only then human life on earth will be safe in the future.Former Head of Geography Department, Riyaz Ahmed, while addressing the children, said that through such an event, children will know the importance of geographers and will also increase their self-confidence.On this occasion, Controller of Examinations of the college Ranjan Kumar said that Geography is a subject which has a deep connection with all other subjects. Specially mentioning the views of Greek geographer Eratosthenes, he said that history should be studied by combining it with geography, whereas geography should be studied by combining it with history, only then the problems arising in the environment can be solved.                               In the seminar, Jyoti, Neha, Komal stood first, Neha, Priya, Monica stood second while Rahul Kumar Das stood third.In this seminar Sagar, Sakshi, Pushpa, Baby, Varsha, Roop, Pramila, Nazia. Praveen, Chandni Khatoon, Chandan, Satyam, Sujeet, Shashi, Dinesh, Ruchi Kumari participated and the work of stage management in this program was done by Shiv Shankar. Teachers from various departments of the college contributed a lot in making this program successful.
