On February 24th, the Department of Energy, in collaboration with the Department of Human Resource Development, organized a seminar on the topic of "Achieving Sustainability through Steam Energy Conservation." The objective of the seminar was to raise awareness about the importance of steam energy in the steel production process and to reduce energy consumption.
The inaugural ceremony of the program was graced by esteemed guests including Rajiv Dhawan, (Operations), along with Gulshan Kumar, Chief General Manager (IE&M), P K Bhuiyan, General Manager (IE&M), and Devashree Toppo, General Manager (HRD) from the Department of Energy, along with various officials from different departments of the plant.
The seminar focused on current trends and challenges in steam energy conservation, new technologies and strategies to optimize steam energy usage, best practices for boiler operation and maintenance, and case studies of successful steam energy conservation. Presentations were delivered by experts from leading organizations in the steam energy sector such as Forbes Marshall, Lloyd Insulation, Prometheus Energy, Yoshitake Inc., and BPCL. The event was moderated by Saurabh Singh, Assistant General Manager (IE&M), and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Devashree Toppo, General Manager (HRD).
Also In Another Program a suggestion fair was organized in the CRMM-III department of Bokaro Steel Plant in collaboration with the Industrial Engineering department. The inauguration of the suggestion fair was done by Chief General Manager Deepak Roy.
