SBI Chairman, Dinesh Kumar Khara, continues to exemplify a commitment to social responsibility through generous contributions to key community initiatives. In a recent development, Khara has made significant donations to support the Mahakal Mandir, Umeed Cancer Hospital, and Heartfulness NGO.
The prominent Mahakal Mandir was provided with the two big LED screens that will enable the live telecast of Pooja, Arti, and other events to all devotees, enhancing the spiritual experience and community engagement within the temple premises.
Further to his dedication to healthcare accessibility, Khara has allocated a commendable sum of Rs 95 Lakhs towards the procurement of a mobile cancer detection bus for Umeed health & Medicare Hospital, under the direction of the renowned oncologist Dr. Gaurav Khandelwal. This contribution will facilitate cancer screening and detection services for the underprivileged populations of Indore and nearby rural areas, ensuring timely access to crucial healthcare resources.
In a bid to promote environmental sustainability, a third donation of Rs 37.50 Lakhs has been extended to the NGO Heartfulness for a plantation project in Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh. This initiative underscores SBI's commitment to ecological balance and conservation efforts in the region affected with the degradation of forest.
During a recent program, at Indore on April 27, Khara emphasized SBI's unwavering commitment to nature protection, biodiversity and healthcare accessibility for the less privileged segments of society through CSR initiatives. These contributions underscore SBI's overarching commitment to social welfare, community development, and environmental sustainability through impactful CSR initiatives.
