SAIL Ranchi units marked the annual SAIL Day with fervour and pride on January 24.  SAIL Day is an occasion to commemorate the foundation of the esteemed organization and recognize the collective efforts of its employees towards achieving excellence in the steel industry. On this occasion the participation of employees and their families and ex-employees was overwhelming. Asish Chakraborty, ED (SSO with additional charge of HRD); S.K VERMA, ED (CET); Ved Prakash, ED(Digital Transformations) and Sandip Kumar Kar, ED (RDCIS) graced the occasion. 

The program started with Long Service Awards  which were distributed to 1 employee from MTI and 1 from CET. They were  Shabnam Shadab and Pravin Kumar Gupta from MTI and CET respectively. After this, scholarships prizes were presented to the children of SAIL employees, which included Sweta Prava Bisoyi, Suhani Das, Supratik Roy, Singdha Saumya, Deeptanshu Singh Negi and Kanishk Sakarwar. Following this, Balloons were flown collectively by the EDs to mark the start of the celebrations. 

A 5 Km RUN in Shyamali Colony was Organized for 10 different categories comprising not only children but employees, spouses and Ex-employees . The winners of different categories were Vijay Kumar, Prabha Devi, Lakshman Kumar, Deetya Verma, J.Karnik Reddy, Lipika Singh, Bholanath Prasad, Seema Yadav, Abdesh Prasad and Prajanya Madhav. 

The program was anchored by K.K Verma, Ex-Employee (RDCIS). On this occasion a free medical Camp and Health talk by Eminent Cardiologist Dr. Mahesh Kushwaha, MBBS, DM Cardiology, General Physician Dr Ramesh Rout  and his team from Paras HEC Hospital Ranchi was also organized for employees and their families and ex-employees.
