RTO office faces work load due to agents’ strike

Monday, 15 July 2024 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

Work of RTO Bhopal has increased severely after agents and kiosk operators have been on strike in Bhopal RTO for the last four days and due to which applicants are constantly getting troubled.

Meanwhile, only a few applicants are getting their work done. More than 80 percent of applicants are still not reaching here. Regarding which, on one hand RTO Bhopal Jitendra Sharma is still firm on his letter of authority or affidavit. On the other hand, agents are disappointed with this.

RTO Jitendra Sharma told that on July 6, a file of ownership transfer of deceased person Rajendra Kumar Chaudhary came in front of me, when we searched it, we did not know who made this file, after which I have asked to give an affidavit or a letter of authority with every file, due to which this whole dispute is going on.

Ownership of a deceased person is not transferred in this way, for this it will first be transferred to his responsible person. Whatever we are asking for is as per the rules, there is nothing in it that is against the rules. It is also said in the Act that whoever brings someone else's file will bring an authorization letter with him.

On the other hand, Traffic Advisory Association President Jagdish Tyagi said that we have always been giving authorization letters, but RTO sahab is trying to call the party even for the work which is faceless, this is against the rules and that is why we are on indefinite strike. Because we have also been working as per the rules. There have been many officers before this, we have been doing the same work there too. Due to this, the public is facing inconvenience.

RTO Bhopal Jitendra Sharma said that people can get their work done themselves, they can also apply on the vahan portal themselves. The information I am asking for is not different, there is a provision for it, now whether you give an affidavit or an authority letter, it is necessary to give it. All these works are being done as per rules.
