In a celebration of humor and oratory skills, The Pentecostal Assembly School Bokaro organized the Hasya Kavi Sammelan, a Hindi Elocution competition for grades 6, 7, and 8, on July 16, 2024. Held in the Assembly Hall, the event highlighted the rich tradition of humorous poetry in Hindi literature and its role in critiquing society.
The program began with a warm welcome and introduction, with the Principal, Dr. Karuna Prasad, present alongside a distinguished panel of judges. The judges included Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, a renowned poet and President of the Maithili Bhojpuri Academy; Dr. Sharda Rani, a veteran Hindi teacher with over three decades of experience; and Sunita Roy, an avid poetry enthusiast and PRT Hindi teacher. Students were encouraged to inject their speeches with humor, making for an entertaining and effective competition.
The hall soon echoed with laughter as each participant took the stage. Their unique flair and wit turned the event into a delightful celebration of humor. The judges were thoroughly entertained by the clever presentations and praised the students for their excellent poem choices and impressive elocution skills.
Dr. Karuna Prasad congratulated the winners and all participants, emphasizing the importance of humor in life. Mr. Upadhyay commended the school's efforts to connect children with literature, highlighting it as a crucial need in today’s times.
