Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign at a function organized at Chakghat in the district's Teonthar assembly constituency. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of construction works worth Rs 33.68 crore in the ceremony. Due to heavy rains and adverse weather, Chief Minister Yadav addressed the function virtually from Jabalpur and gave many gifts. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla and Minister of State for Urban Development Pratima Bagri also participated in the ceremony virtually from Jabalpur.
Addressing a crowd of thousands of people in Chakghat virtually amid heavy rains, Chief Minister Yadav said that with all resources available, Vindhya is ready for development. The investors' meeting to be held in Rewa next month will establish new dimensions of development in the Vindhya region. The Investors Meet will provide employment opportunities to thousands of youth along with huge investments in minerals, tourism, and agro-based industries. He said that Rewa is becoming a model of development.
The Chief Minister said that today is the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also the birth anniversary of Late Assembly Speaker Shriyut Srinivas Tiwari. Today is Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti. I wanted to come to Chakghat to pay my respects to all of them, but due to incessant heavy rains, I could not come. I am very happy to connect with the people of Teonthar. Today Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated Jan Aushadhi Kendras in all the districts of the state for which I heartily thank Prime Minister Modi. The general public will get cheap quality medicines from Jan Aushadhi Kendras. New schemes will be started soon to provide self-employment opportunities to women and youth. To increase milk production, bonuses will also be given to dairy farmers.
Chief Minister Yadav said that all possible assistance will be provided for the development of Vindhya. An airport is being inaugurated in Rewa soon. This will give impetus to the development of industries. A stadium will be constructed on five acres of land in Teonthar. An estimate of Rs 507 lakh has been approved for the renovation of the Loni dam and its canals. This will provide irrigation facility in 1656 hectare area. Funds have also been sanctioned for the Teonthar Left Canal Link Project. With this, irrigation facility will be available in 1400 hectares. An industrial development center will be constructed on 400 acres in Teonthar area. I have a special attachment for Rewa. The Chief Minister appealed to the general public to plant saplings in the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign and extended best wishes for the upcoming festivals.
Addressing the function virtually, Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that Chief Minister Yadav has undertaken many historic works in his short tenure of 9 months. The Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 4,000 crore for irrigation projects in Rewa, due to which the irrigation facility in the district will increase from 3 lakh acres to 9 lakh acres. Rewa Airport is going to be inaugurated soon. Due to the efforts of Chief Minister Yadav, Narmada river water will soon reach Satna district also. Tenders have been approved for the construction of the much-awaited road at Chaura Ghat. Its construction will start soon.
Chief Minister said that like wheat and paddy farmers, now dairy farmers will also be given bonus amounts. He said that if 400 acres of land becomes available in Rewa, an industrial park will be built there.
Protect yourself in heavy rain
Chief Minister Yadav said that people should protect themselves during heavy rains and also take care of everyone's safety. If any problem arises, get help from the district administration.
He said that the Cleanliness fortnight will run from 17th September to 2nd October. In this, ensure your participation in cleanliness-related activities. In his address, Dr. Yadav assured to take all possible measures for the welfare of women and remove all difficulties in their lives and take appropriate measures for the employment of the youth.
