A high-level meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, at the Collectorate Auditorium. The meeting aimed to outline the meticulous preparations for the upcoming district-level function in celebration of the 75th Republic Day. In attendance were distinguished figures including Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal, Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, SDM Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jaideep Tigga, ADM Law and Order Rajiv Ranjan, Director NEP Jyotsna Singh, along with other administrative and police officers and representatives of private companies.
Bhajantri, addressing the gathering, emphasized the grand celebration of the Republic Day at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur. He entrusted the responsibility of preparations to various departmental officers, ensuring a memorable and vibrant event. The district-level function will feature captivating tableaux from various departments, including those highlighting schemes related to Abua Housing and Self-Employment. Additionally, a cultural evening has been planned with performances by school children showcasing patriotic songs and music.
The parade, a central focus of the celebration, will see participation from 8 platoons, including 1 platoon of JAP-6, 3 platoons of District Police Force (including auxiliary police), 1 platoon of District Home Guard, 2 platoons of NCC (female/male), and a platoon of Scouts and Guides. Rehearsals for the parade are scheduled from January 21 to 23 at Police Line Ground, Golmuri, with the full dress rehearsal on January 24 at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur. The inspection of the parade will be jointly carried out by the Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police.
Bhajantri issued directives for the hoisting of flags in all government buildings and offices on Republic Day, along with the garlanding of statues of great leaders and the cleaning of national monuments. The JNAC (Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee) was instructed to coordinate with Tata Steel UISL management for venue cleaning and necessary preparations. Responsibilities for seating arrangements, ambulance services, fire brigade, and other logistics were assigned to relevant officials.
The meeting was attended by a diverse array of officials, including the Special Subdivision Officer, DCLR cum Nazarat Deputy Collector, District Education Officer, District Transport Officer, District Public Relations Officer, DSP Traffic, DSP Headquarters 1, Assistant Director Social Security, District Education Superintendent, District Fisheries Officer, Sergeant Major, and other key stakeholders. Their collective efforts aim to ensure a seamless and patriotic celebration of the 75th Republic Day in the district.
