Removing non-agitators from power most important for Jharkhand: Dr. Suraj Mandal

Friday, 18 October 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Former MP, former Vice President of Jharkhand Autonomous Council (JAC) and President of Jharkhand Mazdoor Morcha, Dr. Suraj Mandal has said that the upcoming election of Jharkhand Assembly is actually a fight to remove non-agitators, corrupt and criminal minded people as well as opponents of Jharkhand from power in Jharkhand, which must be won at all costs.

Presiding over an important meeting of Jharkhand Andolankari Morcha at Dhumakudia Bhawan situated at Karamtoli Chowk here on Thursday, he said that the long standing presence of Jharkhand's opponents in the state is the root cause of the major and grave problems here and because of this all the dreams that were seen during the Jharkhand State Formation Movement for the development of this state and the happiness of the tribals, natives and the people of this state have been shattered.

Dr Mandal said that this is the only way left to free Jharkhand from problems and just as the agitators have taken a separate state, in the same way they will take the key of power in their hands and make Jharkhand a developed and prosperous state.

Mandal said that the government's focus is on whitewashing its corruption and saving power.

Speaking on this occasion, Jharkhand agitator Prabhakar Tirkey said that agitators should be mobilized in all the five divisions and candidates who have been agitators for the formation of a separate state should be fielded in the election. Expressing his views in the meeting, former MLA Bahadur Oraon said that there is a need for an angry fight by Jharkhand agitators under the leadership of Suraj Mandal because only this will improve the situation of Jharkhand. He said that there was a lot of faith in BJP but elements with criminal tendencies have also joined it.

Today's meeting was addressed by Pushkar Mahato, Ravi Nandi, Surendra Raj (Gomia), Sanjeev Kumar Verma (Ramgarh), Ramji Bhagat (Pakur), Abdul Kalam (Daltanganj), Jayshree Das, Manav Ghosh, Kinu Hembram, Sukhdev ji, Arun Kashyap, Zubair Ahmed Ansari, Shafiq Alam and many other agitators. In this meeting, the main problems of the agitators as well as the current political situation of the state were specially discussed and it was decided to move forward with unity. In the meeting, a 16-member core committee of Jharkhand agitators was formed and committees were formed for all the five divisions, whose first meeting will be held within a week.
