Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that with the declaration of Ratapani Sanctuary Tiger Reserve as buffer area, Madhya Pradesh has now become a real Tiger state. This is a big gift for Madhya Pradesh. After the approval of the Central Government, Ratapani has been declared the 8th Tiger Reserve area of??Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that he has always given priority to Madhya Pradesh for the conservation and promotion of wildlife, as a result of which, leopards in Kuno of Sheopur and then Ratapani have got the approval of tiger buffer area.

Chief Minister Yadav said that the special thing about Ratapani Sanctuary Tiger Reserve Buffer Zone is that it is the only tiger reserve in the country which is very close to the capital (Bhopal). From this it can be assumed that the capital is part of this sanctuary.

The areas of Raisen, Bhopal, and Sehore districts will also come under the scope of this sanctuary. There are also more than 90 tigers and other wild animals here. He said that declaring Ratapani as a tiger reserve would encourage tourism. The entire core area of ??the tiger reserve is within the limits of the Ratapani Sanctuary. Chief Minister Yadav said that there will be no change in the present rights of the villagers, rather the local villagers will get new employment opportunities from tourism and they will also get economic benefits. Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of tigers and also tiger parks.

Chief Minister Yadav said that with the declaration of Ratapani Tiger Reserve, wildlife can be managed in a better way with the budget allocated by the National Tiger Conservation Authority, Central Government, and the State. He said that this would give international recognition to Ratapani and the capital Bhopal would be recognized as the Tiger Capital.
