Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the Public Welfare Campaign for the welfare and development of youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged will be launched in Madhya Pradesh from 11th December and will run until 26th January 2025. This campaign will benefit the identified beneficiaries of various welfare schemes, including both central and state government programs. Yadav mentioned that from 11th to 26th December, a Public Welfare Festival will also be celebrated during this period, which will include inaugurations and foundation-laying ceremonies of various development activities, along with the showcasing of the achievements of the state government over the past year. The Chief Minister was discussing the action plan for the Public Welfare Campaign and Festival with officials at Samatva Bhavan, located in the Chief Minister’s residence.
Yadav said that the primary objective of the Public Welfare Campaign is to work with strong determination for the welfare and development of the youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged by implementing the welfare schemes launched by the central and state governments. It will cover 34 beneficiary-oriented schemes, 11 target-based schemes, and 63 other services, aiming to reach the common citizens effectively. The activities of the campaign will be monitored through the CM Helpline Dashboard, which will be accessible to the Chief Minister, collectors and department officials. Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed to extend the duration of the ongoing Revenue Mega Campaign-3 till 26th January 2025.
The Chief Minister said that during the campaign, camps will be organized in both rural and urban areas to resolve public grievances and identify eligible beneficiaries to provide them the benefits of various welfare schemes. Cards will be issued under the Ayushman scheme for citizens aged 70 years and above. He emphasized that the environment of these camps and the facilities offered should be promoted in such a way that citizens voluntarily participate in them.
Yadav also directed officials to constitute contact teams within the prescribed timeline to identify eligible citizens who are yet to benefit from the schemes. The camps will be organized under the guidance of the district in-charge minister by the district collector. He instructed that the schedule and locations of these camps in every village panchayat and urban ward should be publicized. To monitor the camps effectively, a sector officer should be designated at the zone level in urban areas and for each Panchayat cluster in rural areas.
