Public service an opportunity to serve underprivileged: Guv

Governor Mangubhai Patel said that public service is an opportunity to serve the deserving, needy, and poor. He asked the Deputy Collectors to understand the meaning of ‘Public Service deeply’. Always keep the feeling of serving the public uppermost in your mind. The meaning of life lies in working with honesty and devotion during service.

Governor Patel was addressing the trainee deputy collectors of the State Administrative Service undergoing training at the Noronha Academy of Administration and Management, Bhopal. On this occasion, the Director General of the Academy, JN Kansotiya was also present.

Governor Patel said that it is the responsibility of the public servants to make the Gareeb Kalyan schemes of the Central and State Governments successful. Their basic duty is to ensure the benefits of government welfare schemes. During your service period, always have respect and honor towards elders, handicapped and deprived people. Governor Patel said that it is a privilege to have the opportunity to become a part of the administrative system to serve the state. Learn in detail the rules and regulations related to trainee officer training. Adopt an approach to the solution according to the social, economic, and geographical challenges of the state. He appreciated the organizing of quality training programmes by the Academy of Administration, Bhopal to make the officers clean and sensitive public servants. Governor Patel also congratulated all the trainees for their selection in the State Administrative Service.

Be sensitive and sympathetic toward the tribal community

Governor Patel said that Madhya Pradesh is a tribal-dominated state. The development of tribal communities is very important for the holistic development of the state. Trainee officers should always maintain simple, sensitive, and sympathetic behavior toward the tribal community. Maintain intimate, direct, and lively contact with them. Contribute to including them in the mainstream of development.

In his welcome address, the Director General of Noronha Academy, Bhopal JN Kansotiya gave detailed information about the training programme to Governor Patel.

Director of Administrative Academy, Mujibur Rahman Khan presented a memento to Governor Patel. Officer Trainees Priyanka Bhalavi and Ashutosh Mahadev Singh Thakur shared their experiences during the training. Vidhi Bhardwaj proposed the vote of thanks. Additional Secretary to the Governor Umashankar Bhargava and officials of Raj Bhavan were present in the programme.
