Priority to conserve religious places of all communities: CM

Tuesday, 20 February 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Chief Minister Champai Soren today said that Mother Goddess is worshiped the most in the society. Mother has a different and important place in the world. Be it a mother goddess in the form of God or a mother who gives birth to a human being, mother is always worshipable and venerable. Mother Goddess incarnates only to save human life from atrocities and misdeeds. Mother alone decides the condition and direction of all of us. We all worship Goddess Saraswati for knowledge and wisdom, while we worship Goddess Lakshmi for happiness, prosperity and glory. Similarly, by worshiping Mother Bhadrakali, the wishes of all of us are fulfilled.

The CM said that today I have prayed for the happiness, prosperity and progress of all the people of Jharkhand by performing rituals at the Maa Bhadrakali temple located in Itkhori in Chatra district. On the occasion of the three-day State Itkhori Mahotsav, I extend my hearty congratulations and best wishes to the entire state. Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren said these things while addressing the "State Itkhori Mahotsav" organized at Itkhori Maa Bhadrakali Temple complex in Chatra district today.

Soren said that our government has already decided that religious places of all religions and communities within the state will be protected. Under the leadership of former CM Hemant Soren, our government is beautifying and preserving religious places of all sections of the community in the city as well as in the rural areas. Today, on the occasion of the Government Itkhori Mahotsav, religious leaders of different classes and communities are also present here. Today is a day of great excitement and happiness. Today we all pray to Mata Rani and pray for the happiness and prosperity of the state. Our government is determined to ensure that people of any class or community are not harmed on their religious beliefs. Itkhori is developing as a big religious place in the country and the world. It is the priority of the state government to establish Itkhori as a well-known religious tourist destination in the coming times.

The CM said that by the year 2027, our government will provide permanent houses to 20 lakh homeless families of the state. We will give permanent houses as a priority to those who are forced to live in mud houses or slums. He said that in this modern era, when the country and the world are developing at such a fast pace, we will not let Jharkhand lag behind under any circumstances. Jharkhand has always been considered a state with mineral wealth, but the irony is that the people of other states have taken maximum benefit of our mineral wealth. Our government will change this situation at any cost. We will work to strengthen the indigenous and tribal society here socially, economically and educationally. He said that the thinking of former CM Hemant Soren has to be taken forward and the state should be taken towards progress in every field.

Soren said that our government is providing the benefits of the Guruji Credit Card Scheme to children of all classes and communities including tribals, Dalits, labourers, farmers, minorities of Jharkhand. Now our children's education will not stop because of money. The work of lighting the 'lamp' of education for the children of all these sections by former CM Hemant Soren will never be allowed to be extinguished. Our government is continuously trying to strengthen the education system. A developed state can be created only through an educated society.

On this occasion, Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Minister Badal, MLA Kishun Kumar Das, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Buddhist Guru Swami Ravindra Kirti, Religious Guru Nangjeya Dorje, Head Priest Nageshwar, Digambar Chairman of Jain Religious Trust Board Tarachand Jain along with other dignitaries and a large number of devotees were present.
