Chief Minister Mohan Yadav today paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at his residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg to congratulate him for the third term and sought his blessings. Chief Minister Yadav expressed confidence that the new central government formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi will continue to support the development and progress of Madhya Pradesh like before.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed the Prime Minister about the current information about two major river-linking projects going on in the state, the Ken-Betwa Project and the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Project. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that the Ken-Betwa project is ready and requested Prime Minister Modi to provide time for its Bhoomi pujan.
Chief Minister Yadav informed Prime Minister Modi about the status of various public welfare schemes running in the state. He said that through Jal-Ganga Abhiyan, a large-scale public awareness campaign is being run by focusing on the water structures like wells, step wells, rivers, ponds, ponds, lakes, etc. of the state. Given the enthusiasm of the people of the state towards this campaign, its deadline has been extended till June 30.
Chief Minister Yadav also informed Prime Minister Modi about the ongoing Sickle Cell eradication program in the state. He informed that under the leadership of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, a state-level program was organized on World Sickle Cell Day in the Dindori district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is committed to eradicating this serious “blood disorder”. Besides, it is also determined to continue its support in spreading public awareness.
