Preparations complete for peaceful voting in third phase of elections

All preparations have been completed for fair and peaceful voting in all the 9 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies of the third phase under the Lok Sabha Elections-2024. Arrangements for drinking water, essential medicines and tents are being ensured at all polling stations. Voter information slips are being distributed. Force will be made available in Morena as per requirement. Continuous efforts are also being made to increase the voting percentage.

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said this at the review meeting conducted by Deputy Election Commissioner Ajay Bhadu, Election Commission of India on election preparations done through video conferencing. Rajan said that a total of 871 checkpoints have been built in the state, where continuous monitoring is being done. Seizure proceedings are being carried out continuously.

In a separate discussion with the General Observer, Police Observer and Expenditure Observer of Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Betul parliamentary constituencies, the Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India, Ajay Bhadu sought information about the election preparations. Observers gave information about the election preparations being done by the district teams.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Kaul, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Basant Kurre and State Police Nodal Officer Anshuman Singh were also present. STAFF REPORTER n BHOPAL
