Poor services provided by PM Shri Air Service: Cong

Thursday, 25 July 2024 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

Congress has made a major allegation on PM Shri Air Service Scheme launched one month ago for 8 cities of Madhya Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference in here on Wednesday  at party office, Congress spokesperson Abbas Hafeez said, 'Last week I travelled with my family from Bhopal to Jabalpur. My children got seats near toilets. It was a very embarrassing experience.'

Congress spokesperson said, '6 passengers were taken in a 4 seater plane of Fly Ola company attached to PM Shri Air Service Scheme. Passengers are being made to travel by placing seats on staff seats and toilets in the rear part of the plane. Seat numbers are not assigned to passengers. The one who reaches first sits on the front seat. The one who reaches later has got a toilet seat.'

Congress spokesperson said, 'The schemes of Madhya Pradesh government are only for creating events on paper. The government had launched PM Shri Air Service with great fanfare. It was claimed that there will be cheap travel to connect Madhya Pradesh. But, after 1 month, the 50% discount on fare given in this scheme has been stopped and only 20% discount is being given. Now even bookings are not being made in this service, because the fare is very high. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla lied that 2 months advance booking is going on.'

CM  Mohan Yadav had started Bhopal-Jabalpur PM Shri flight 1 month ago. 50% discount was given on fare for the first 30 days. Now a 20% discount is being given.

Showing the company's website, the Congress spokesperson said, 'The company is opening bookings for only one week. All seats are seen vacant on the dates of 25-26 July. This service was started for 7 cities. Now this flight service is running from only 4 places. The flight to Ujjain has been stopped. All 6 seats of Bhopal-Indore are vacant on 25th July. All seats of Rewa to Jabalpur are vacant on 26th July. The Deputy Chief Minister has lied. About 95 percent of seats are vacant in the upcoming dates.'

The Congress spokesperson said, 'The government should clarify before the public that it was said that this service will be expanded to more cities, but why is the service being stopped? The company which has got this work, is it being charged fare for parking their flight in Bhopal, Indore or has it been given free'.
