The Department of Pharmacology at AIIMS Bhopal on Wednesday celebrated its Foundation Day with a prestigious oration event, marking a significant moment for the institution's commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education and research.
The distinguished occasion was graced by Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhopal, who delivered an insightful address emphasizing the importance of fostering exemplary prescribing skills among both residents and faculty members. Prof Singh's remarks underscored the department's dedication to excellence in pharmacological practice.
Dr. Balakrishnan S, Head of the Department of Pharmacology, presented the department's annual report, highlighting the remarkable accomplishments of the past year while outlining ambitious targets for the future. The event's keynote speaker, Dr Shoibal Mukherjee, a distinguished consultant in pharmaceutical medicine & drug development, and Director of Medical Research at Medanta Hospitals, delivered an engaging speech on the "Emerging Future of Pharmacology as a Discipline in India."
Following Dr Mukherjee's keynote speech, an interactive session provided a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage with industry experts on various issues, including emerging career opportunities and essential skills in pharmacology.
