Peace commoittee meet over Muharram

Regarding  Muharram festival, a meeting of the District Level Peace Committee was organized  under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shekhar Jamuar and Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Pandey, on Monday. During the meeting, various precautions regarding the Muharram festival were highlighted. Under no circumstances, any kind of provocative speeches and provocative songs, which hurt any caste / religion. People were asked to stay away from any kind of rumors. Also, strict monitoring will be kept on those who spread rumors. Everyone, especially the members of various Moharram Committees, Coordination Committee agreed to celebrate the Moharram festival according to the guidelines of the Jharkhand government. The Superintendent of Police directed to ensure complete law and order. The concerned Sub-Divisional Officer, Block Development Officer, Circle Officer and Police Station Incharges were directed to coordinate with each procession organizers that the procession will be taken out only from the prescribed route. Strict action will be taken against those involved in things like provocative speeches, songs, spreading objectionable facts and hurting religious sentiments.  The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the people to celebrate Muharram festival peacefully and with mutual brotherhood. 

 

Deputy Development Commissioner Pashupatinath Mishra, District Council Chairperson Shanti Devi, Sub-Divisional Officer Nagar Untari Prabhakar Mirdha, Sub-Divisional Officer Ranka Rudra Pratap, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ashok Kumar, various district level officers, various Block Development Officers and Circle Officers of the district, Police Station in-charges of various blocks, other officers of the Police Department, representatives of the Honorable MLA, public representatives from various blocks of Garhwa district, members of the Coordination Committee, social workers etc. were present in the meeting.
