Panchkroshi Yatra will be taken outfrom May 3 to 7. Proper preparations are being ensured by the district administration for the successful organization of the Yatra.
On Saturday, Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta, IG Santosh Kumar Singh, DIG Navneet Bhasin, Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh and Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma took stock of the preparations by visiting the stopping places of Panchkroshi Yatra.
Officials gave instructions to complete the works like adequate shade, cold drinking water, medicine, ration, necessary repairs etc. at the halting sites by April 30. Divisional Commissioner Gupta directed the concerned officials to take special care of the facilities of the devotees during the yatra.
First of all the team of officers reached Pingleshwar Mahadev Temple. Here the Divisional Commissioner and Collector took information from the officials of the concerned departments about the arrangements for drinking water, medicine, shade, electricity etc.
Executive Engineer, Public Works Department said that leveling and repair of about 5 acres of ground has been done in Pingleshwar Mahadev Temple. Besides, arrangements for barricading have also been made, which will be installed by April 30. District CEO said that shade will be arranged in about 42000 square feet in Pingleshwar, 7 tankers have been installed for drinking water and showers for bathing. A three bedded hospital will also be built.
Collector Singh directed that the necessary repair work of the roads should be done expeditiously. Signs should be installed every 2 to 3 kilometers displaying the name and distance of the upcoming stop. Arrangements for drinking water, toilet, medical care etc. should remain in good condition.
After this, the team of officers reached
Kayavrohaneshwar Mahadev Temple, the halting point at Karohan. Here Collector Singh instructed the Public Works Department to get shoulder feeling of the road done. He directed that the size of the tent here should be further increased. MPEB/Electrical Engineering Department was instructed to install street lights. Collector Singh said that arrangements for ambulances should be ensured at all the stopping places.
He gave instructions to make arrangements for drinking water, bath and toilet and also instructed the Fertilizer and Civil Supplies Corporation to make arrangements for ration shops. He directed the forest department to remove the beehives. The officials also inspected the halting site Bilkeshwar Mahadev Temple Ambodia, Loan Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple Jaithal and halting site Undasa and observed the arrangements closely.
Regarding Panchkroshi Yatra, a meeting was organized at Bilkeshwar Mahadev Temple near Gambhir Dam. In which the responsibilities assigned to the officers and their progress were reviewed and necessary guidelines were given. Divisional Commissioner Gupta directed that the officers should complete their responsibilities on time. Maintain proper medical arrangements at all halting points.
