BJP MP Vishnu Dayal Ram has informed the DC Shashi Ranjan about the continued absence of the Rotavirus vaccines here over the last two months or so.
Speaking to this correspondent Vishnu Dayal Ram said "The DC Shashi Ranjan has assured me to arrange this Rotavirus vaccines by all means. He is right on it."
Rotavirus vaccines save child from diarrhoea, vomiting and fever bouts.
It is a must for children in the age group of 2 years to further 6 months more.
Civil surgeon Palamu Dr Anil Kumar said the Rotavirus vaccines are not available to us for weeks.
He said efforts are on to procure Rotavirus vaccines.
Sources said Rotavirus vaccines are out of stock in the state health department in Ranchi.
This Rotavirus vaccines are said to be available at some private clinics of the child speciliasts where if the version of the parents are to be believed then for two or three drops of the Rotavirus vaccine, a charge for 900 rupees is being demanded.
