Chief Minister Mohan Yadav graced a mass marriage ceremony held in Ashta and extended his blessings to the newly-weds and wished them a prosperous future. The event saw the solemnization of marriages for 748 girls, adhering to religious customs, with an additional 179 Muslim girls having their Nikah performed. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed cheques under the marriage scheme to the couples.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister  Yadav highlighted the significance of mass marriage ceremonies in curbing extravagant spending. He emphasized that adhering to religious customs and celebrating weddings with a limited number of family members not only reduces unnecessary expenses but also allows for saving money, which can be directed towards future plans. Dr. Yadav shared his personal experience, mentioning that his son's wedding was attended by only 200 guests, reflecting the principles he advocates for in mass marriage ceremonies.

Yadav highlighted the disparity in the ability of affluent and poor families to fulfill their children's marriage aspirations. While the former can easily realize these dreams, the latter often struggle, resorting to loans or land sales. In response, the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana was initiated to facilitate the marriage of daughters from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with traditional grandeur. Chief Minsiter Dr. Yadav expressed satisfaction in alleviating the concerns of poor parents regarding their daughters' weddings, assuring that the government has ample funds for such welfare schemes. He said that under Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana the bride receives Rs. 55,000 from the government, with a cheque of Rs. 49,000 being provided as part of this assistance.

Yadav praised the rapid progress of the state under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, attributing the accelerated development to the "double engine government." He expressed delight that at 4 pm on the same day, Prime Minister Modi would inaugurate and dedicate various development and construction projects worth Rs. 17,500 crore in Madhya Pradesh. He encouraged all citizens to participate in the state's development by joining the PM's programme. Dr. Yadav also said that on February 28, Prime Minister Modi had transferred the 16th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi to farmers' accounts, and the Madhya Pradesh government would soon follow the same. Furthermore, he announced that the installment of Ladli Behna Yojana would be deposited into the accounts of Ladli Behnas on March 1, assuring that there would be no lack of funds for schemes benefiting the poor, farmers, and laborers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that now farmers will not have to wander for nomination transfer after buying and selling of their land. The government has set time for transfer of property , property distribution and land demarcation. Now, along with purchasing the land, arrangements for transfer of name have been made. Farmers will not have to make rounds of Patwari and Tehsildar for nomination transfer. Madhya Pradesh government has now started the system of cyber tehsil, under which the name will start appearing in the account as soon as one applies for name transfer and now the revenue cases will be resolved within the stipulated time.

Hurting public sentiments will not be tolerated<.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is a people’s government. The government is of villages, poor and farmers. Running a government means serving the people and alleviating their pain, suffering and solving their problems. Our government is working on enhancing respect and honour of the people.
