The Advanced Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program (ESDP) on “Rooftop Solar Installation to Meet Diverse and Varying Electricity Demand in Urban and Rural Environments” concluded today at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur. The five-day program, held from December 3 to December 7, 2024, was organized under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
The event witnessed participation from esteemed resource persons, including leading experts in the field of renewable energy, solar technology, and entrepreneurship. Notable speakers included Prof. Bhim Singh (IIT Delhi), Dr. Ram Krishna (NIT Jamshedpur), Dr. Shailendra Kumar (IIT Bhilai), Dr. Om Hari Gupta (NIT Jamshedpur), Dr. Dinesh Kumar (NIT Jamshedpur), Moulik Kumar Ranapara (MVP Enterprises), Gaurav Pandey, Prashant Kumar Jha (XISS Ranchi), Dr. Kanika Prasad (NIT Jamshedpur), Sagar Saurabh (Gear Inc., Kolkata), Swaminand Sinha (Ramsethu Electrical & Mechanical Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), Aditya Kumar and Shivanand Modi (Panjar Renewables, Ranchi), Prof. C.S. Malvi (MITS Gwalior), and Niraj Mishra (Ekta Telecommunication). The program covered a wide range of topics including theoretical and practical aspects of solar rooftop installation, marketing strategies, customer relationship management, safe work practices, hands-on training, and maintenance of solar systems. Sessions were designed to enhance participants' technical skills while fostering entrepreneurial capabilities essential for thriving in the renewable energy sector. The closing ceremony featured the distribution of certificates to the successful participants.
The certificates were handed out by the program coordinators, Dr. Kanika Prasad, Dr. Om Hari Gupta, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, and Dr. Ram Krishna, in recognition of the participants' dedication and engagement during the program. The ESDP was organized under the patronage of Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, and chaired by Prof. M.K. Sinha, Dean (Research and Consultancy), NIT Jamshedpur. Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from leading experts and gain hands-on experience, which they believe will significantly contribute to their professional growth and entrepreneurial ventures in the renewable energy domain. The successful conclusion of the ESDP highlights NIT Jamshedpur's commitment to fostering skill development and promoting sustainable energy solutions, contributing to India's vision of a greener and more self-reliant future.
