Investigating links between Khalistani terrorists and gangsters, a team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) is searching in Madhya Pradesh and conducted raids in Bhopal, Burhanpur, Khargone and Barwani districts on Tuesday.
The action was taken after NIA had received input about a youth from Khanugaon, Bhopal being associated with Khalistani organization. He is being detained and interrogated. NIA has taken action at 30 places in Madhya Pradesh as well as Punjab-Haryana and Chandigarh.
NIA raided three places in Madhya Pradesh, one youth detained from Bhopal, action also taken in Khandwa and Barwani.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team raided three districts in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. A youth has been detained from Khanugaon, Bhopal.
Here, action is going on in Khandwa and Barwani. NIA took action at 30 places in Madhya Pradesh as well as Punjab-Haryana and Chandigarh.
The NIA had also raided Khanugaon in Bhopal about five months ago, when an elderly man was detained.
The NIA teams have reached two police station areas in Khargone district, Bhagwanpura and Goganwa area. Searching and interrogation is being done in Satipura of Bhagwanpura. Both places are dens of illegal weapons. Khargone's Additional SP MS Baria said that NIA has sought the help of the local police.
In the action NIA interrogated a youth named Deepak Patil in Khadki village of Rajpur police station area of the district. After interrogation, the team reached Umarti of Varla police station area. Let us tell you that Umarti is considered a stronghold of illegal weapons. NIA is searching for a youth named Atul, resident of Sendhwa in the same district. When Atul's location was found in Chopra police station area of Maharashtra, the team went there also.
During the raids Umarti area famous for illegal weapons in Barwani district was also raided, teams of the central agency are engaged in arresting the network of manufacturing and selling of illegal weapons across the country. Although the news of NIA team's arrival in Khandwa district of Nimar was also being received since morning, but Khandwa SP Virendra Kumar Singh clarified about this and said that at present there is no such information in Khandwa district.
At the same time, he said that if NIA teams reach somewhere to take action, they usually do not give any information in this regard to the local police.
In Khargone district of Nimar itself, news of NIA team's arrival was received since morning, regarding which Khargone.
Additional SP Manohar Singh said that NIA team has reached the district. Which is interrogating some people to investigate cases related to illegal weapons. Although their investigation is still ongoing, and no one has been arrested as of now, details will be revealed in this regard only after their investigation is completed.
