Girija Shankar Prasad assumed his role as the 27th Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of the district on Monday. The outgoing DDC, Sandeep Kumar, handed over the charge to him at the Collectorate office. Prior to this, Girija Shankar Prasad served as the Joint Secretary in the Excise and Prohibition Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
Recently, the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language issued a notification transferring the outgoing DDC, Sandeep Kumar, to the position of Director of Sports, Tourism, Art, Culture, and Youth Affairs Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
The ceremony was attended by several notable officials including DPLR Menka, Additional Collector Md. Mumtaz Ansari, In-charge Officer of the Legal Branch Prabhas Dutta, District Sports Officer Hemlata, District Supply Officer Shalini Khalkho, District Engineer Hari Das, District Disaster Management Officer Shakti Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Avinash Kumar Singh, DRDA's Pankaj Dubey, Manikchandra Prajapati, and other DRDA staff members.
