New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in association with SPIC MACAY organised first concert of “Music in the Park” series 2024 at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri on Saturday.

Union Minister of State for Culture and External Affairs Meenakashi Lekhi was also amongst the audience and appreciated the efforts of NDMC, SPIC MACAY and SRF Foundation to organisation of such type of classical music concert to preservation of our traditional art and culture amongst the youth and general public. She gave thanks to all who associated with such a program in the open out of auditorium and free for all.

According to the NDMC, thousands of audience across the Delhi NCR region mesmerized with wonderful performances by Hindustani Flute Recital by Pandit Nityanand Haldipur, accompanied by Mithilesh Kumar Jha on Tabla. Following him on Sitar, Ustad Shahid Parvez, accompanied by Akram Khan on Tabla performed in “Music in the park”.

“Thousands of flower lovers also listened to the Music Concert and enthralled on music tunes of the artists. The next Music Concert of ‘Music in the Park series 2024’ will be on 09th March, 2024 at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. 

The Music Concert was part of NDMC’s series of events to celebrate the spring season in the lush green area of the Heart of the National Capital. New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is celebrating the spring season with a series of events like Tulip festival, Music in the Park, Flower Festival, Rose Festival and Food Festival,” NDMC said.
