Sensation prevailed in the Peer Gate area of the Old city after a video of a wild animal surfaced, the animal was not identified due to night but created panic as it is a densely populated area of the state capital.

The video is said to be of Naqqar Khana located near Old Chirayu which is near Peer Gate area.

Residents of the area have different claims about the wild animal. Some are claiming it is a jackal and some are claiming it is a fox.

Animal lover Ayan Khan said that an animal resembling a jackal was seen in a ruin present in the area. If the people of the area are to be believed, this jackal was seen at night for about a week. Only after the investigation of the forest department will it be decided whether it is a fox or some other animal and where it has come from.

Samradha Ranger Shivpal Piparde said that we will send a rescue team and have it checked there, only after that something can be said.

Forest department said they will send a rescue team. There could be something in the jackal or fox.

Animal lover Ayan Khan said that I had received information that a jackal was roaming in the Naqqar Khana area located at Peer Gate, after which we came here and saw, about an hour later we saw an animal resembling a jackal. The information was given to the forest department. Locals told that they have been seeing them roaming in the area late at night for the last one week.

Ayan said that there is panic among the people of the area about it, people said that it has also killed two cats of the area. At present, the information has been given, now we are waiting for the forest department team.
