A mysterious balloon-like object fell from the sky in Bauth village under Balrai police station of Etawah district on Thursday afternoon.
A crowd of villagers gathered to see the balloon.
Many electronic devices were installed in the balloon and something was written on the device in Chinese and Korean languages. The police, on receiving information, took possession of the balloon and informed the authorities and started an investigation.
Jaswant Nagar’s Sub-Divisional Magistrate Deepshikha said that a white balloon had fallen from the sky in Bauth village under Balrai police station.
The balloon is about three feet big. Many electronic devices were also found around the balloon. There is something written on it in Chinese and Korean language. A GPS system is also installed in the balloon. Investigation of the balloon has been started and senior officials of the district, including the sleuths of the Central and state intelligence agencies have been apprised of the development.
Sources said that initially the officials suspected that it might be some object of the Meteorological department sent to study weather changes.
