MP starts getting pre-monsoon showers at several places

With the advent of monsoon in few parts of the country, the state also started to witness pre-monsoon showers at several places while the hot and humid conditions prevailed in the state on Friday.

The highest day temperature was recorded at 46 degree celsius in Chhatarpur. Damoh, Shivpuri, Khajuraho recorded day temperature over 45 degree celsius.

Bhopal recorded day temperature at 41.4 degree celsius.

The temperatures which soared to 48 in the state have cooled down but it is far from relief to the people of the state who are eagerly waiting for monsoon arrival.

During the last 24 hours, rainfall was recorded in districts of Bhopal, Indore, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Sagar divisions of the country and the weather remained generally dry in all the remaining districts. The day temperature fell significantly in the districts of Rewa division; increased significantly in the districts of Bhopal, Jabalpur divisions; increased significantly in the districts of Narmadapuram division and there was no significant change in the temperatures of all the remaining districts.

They remained generally higher in the districts of Narmadapuram division and normal in all the remaining districts. The minimum temperature increased significantly in the districts of Bhopal division and there was no significant change in the temperatures of all the remaining districts.

They remained above normal in the districts of Bhopal, Ujjain, Gwalior, Sagar division and The rain was quite heavy in the districts of Shahdol division and the rain was common in all other districts.

 A cyclonic circulation is currently active from Rajasthan to Saurashtra and adjoining areas in the south-west and a cyclonic circulation is currently active over the western part of the country.

From yesterday till this morning, dust storm occurred in Dewas, Indore, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Sehore, Mandla; thunderstorm and strong winds occurred in Khargone, Barwani, Betul, Narmadapuram, Vidisha, Raisen, North Bhopal, Sagar, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori.

Amidst the intense heat in Madhya Pradesh, the weather of many districts has changed. It has rained in Indore, Ratlam, Dhar, Chhindwara, Katni and Vidisha. Hail was also witnessed in Ratlam. Due to the rain, people got relief from the heat.

The weather department has issued a storm and rain alert in 37 districts. There will be thunderstorms at some places, while it may rain at other places.

At the same time, Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Mauganj and Sidhi may experience intense heat till noon and thunderstorms in the evening.

The Met has issued warnings of hail storms, thundery activities and gusty winds and light rainfall in few regions.

In Burhanpur, Barwani, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Dewas, Pandhurna, Balaghat district hailstorm and thundery activities would be witnessed while Betul, Harda, Ratlam, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla districts thunder storms and gusty winds would be witnessed.

In the districts of Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Khandwa, Khargone, Alirajpur, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ashoknagar, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Bhopal, Bhopal, Satna, Maihar, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Patna, Damoh, Sagar thunderstorms and gusty winds would be witnessed warned Met.
