The Annakshetra of AIIMS Bhopal is making a significant impact by serving over 1,000 people every day. This vital service, which provides meals to the relatives of patients undergoing treatment, has been continuously operating for the past six years. Today, Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, visited the Annakshetra to review the services and personally experience the operations. During his visit, he distributed food to the attendees and ensured the quality of the meals being served. Expressing his satisfaction, Professor Singh praised the Annakshetra, run by Karuna Dham, as a remarkable initiative in the service of humanity. "Providing medical treatment alone is not sufficient," he stated. "By supporting the patients and their families emotionally, we can contribute to building a stronger nation."
In addition to providing nutritious meals three times a day - in the morning, afternoon, and evening - the Annakshetra also offers accommodation for those traveling from distant regions for treatment at AIIMS Bhopal.
