Monsoon to enter State within 24 hours

Monsoon has knocked in Jharkhand. In the last 24 hours, it rained in many areas of the State. Now in the next 24 hours, monsoon is going to gain momentum in the State.

Meteorological Department informed that the monsoon will become active in the State in the next 24 hours. “The department has predicted rain with strong winds in many parts of the State on June 23 and June 24. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in the districts of Santhal Pargana and the surrounding areas including Ranchi on June 25 and June 26,” he added.

The Meteorological Department also informed that due to light and moderate rain, the temperature of most of the districts of the State has dropped by four to five degrees. “In the last 24 hours, the highest temperature was 39.4 degrees in Daltonganj. At the same time, the lowest temperature was 24 degrees Celsius in Saraikela,” he added. It may be mentioned here that on June 26, a 'yellow alert' has been issued for heavy rain at many places in the State Capital and surrounding areas.

It is worth noting that the south-west monsoon has knocked in Jharkhand via Sahibganj and Pakur. The first monsoon rain occurred in Sahibganj and Pakur of Santhal Pargana on Friday. Due to the rain, people have got great relief from the heat. The weather has been pleasant for the last two days in many districts including the capital Ranchi and where pre-monsoon rain is happening. The monsoon is currently active only in the area of Santhal Pargana. When the active monsoon enters the area of Kolhan, then there may be good rain.

One should check the lightning survivor for loss of vision and hearing and broken bones, which can lead to paralysis or major bleeding complications. Be alert and aware of the constant danger of lightning strikes for both victim and rescuer. If the area where the victim is located is a high-risk area, try to move the victim to a safe place immediately.
