Monsoon to arrive Jharkhand in time

This year monsoon is going to arrive soon in the country. This time monsoon will arrive a day before the normal date. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon will reach Kerala on May 31. It will reach North-Western India from May 16 and Eastern India on May 18.

 

The Meteorological Department released this estimate late on Wednesday night. There is a possibility of 4 days more or less in the announced date. That means monsoon can arrive anytime between May 28 May to June 3.

 

IMD also informed that hot and humid weather is expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Bihar on Thursday. During the next four days, maximum temperatures are likely to rise by about 3-4 degrees Celsius over many parts of northwest and eastern India, by about 2-4 degrees Celsius over Central India and Gujarat.

 

According to IMD data, the dates of arrival of monsoon in Kerala have been quite different in the last 150 years. In 1918, the monsoon reached Kerala first on 11 May, whereas in 1972, it reached Kerala most late on 18 June. Talking about the last four years, in 2020 the monsoon reached Kerala on June 1, in 2021 on June 3, in 2022 on May 29 and in 2023 on June 8.

 

Meanwhile, two minors have died due to lightning in Dumka during heavy rain that started from 4:30 pm. To avoid this, both the children had gone under the shade of a mango tree. Then suddenly there was a thunderbolt. Due to which they lost their life. 

 

There was an outcry in the area after the incident. Miswaz Ansari (12), son of Ibrahim Ansari, resident of Chirudih village, and Md Inayat Hussain (8), son of Taj Hussain, resident of Majhladih village in Shikaripada police station area, were involved in this incident. Family members told that after the cloudy sky on Thursday afternoon, both the children were playing under the tree in front of the house. Due to a sudden thunderbolt, both of them fell unconscious. When the family members noticed, both of them were immediately picked up and brought to Phulo Jhano Medical College Hospital where after investigation the doctor declared both of them dead.
