MISA prisoners felicitated at State BJP office on 50th anniversary of emergency

Wednesday, 26 June 2024 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

While felicitating Maintenance of Security Act (MISA) prisoners on the 50th anniversary of Emergency at the BJP state office on Tuesday, former minister and senior leader of the state Narottam Mishra said that the leaders of Congress and Indi alliance had reached Parliament on Monday with a copy of the Constitution in their hands.

During the Lok Sabha elections, Congress and Indi alliance spread false propaganda of saving the Constitution and democracy. In reality, the Constitution was amended more than 100 times during the Congress rule. When the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency at 2 o'clock in the night on this day in 1975, Sonia Gandhi was present there as a daughter-in-law. Then Sonia Gandhi did not talk about saving the Constitution, but when she reached Parliament House yesterday, she had a copy of the Constitution in her hand.

There is no threat to the Constitution under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. We have to tell the truth about the false propaganda that the Congress and its allies are doing.

The program was also addressed by BJP State General Secretary and MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani and State President of Loktantra Senani Sangh (MISA prisoners).

Narottam Mishra said that Rahul Gandhi is a machine of lies. The crisis is not on the Constitution and democracy, but on Rahul and the Gandhi family as well as the Indi alliance which is trying to establish its family. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has always chosen the sons of the country to establish them and the Congress-Indi alliance has chosen each other to establish their own people. In the last three Lok Sabha elections, the Congress did not mention the development work done during its rule, it only spread false propaganda that reservation, Constitution and democracy are in danger.

In Tamil Nadu, more than 50 people died untimely due to drinking poisonous liquor during the Congress government, but not a single leader of the Indi alliance said anything. If something happens in the states where the BJP is in power, then they start calling the Constitution and democracy in danger. We are followers of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, there can be no threat to the Constitution under our rule. The party's state general secretary and MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani said that the Congress had imposed emergency by murdering the Constitution.

At that time, neither any appeal nor any argument was accepted. During the Emergency, people from all over the state including Bhopal were forcibly put in jails and the fourth pillar was also banned. No news could be published without the collector or other officer checking it. Today, MISA prisoners were honored in divisional offices including district headquarters across the state.
