A minor girl from the endangered primitive tribe Korwa family was taken away from her home on the pretext of making her dance in an orchestra and was sold in Patna for Rs 50,000.
The minor's father has registered a case against three people from the same village who sold her to the Bhandaria police station. The case is from Gobardah village of Ramkanda police station area of the district.
The father said that six months ago, Reena Kumari, Pramila Devi and Mantosh Korwa from the same village came home at night and said that they had to go to dance in an orchestra. My daughter went with them. After this, the three took her to Patna and sold her for Rs 50,000. A week ago, when the girl's father returned from Mumbai (who had been working as a laborer in Mumbai for a year), his wife told him the whole story. After this, when the father asked the three about his daughter, they refused to tell anything. On much insistence, they gave a phone number.
"When I talked on the phone, I got to know that Reena had sold my daughter for Rs 50,000," Victim's father said. After this, father Satendra and mother Sushila Devi reached Ramkanda police station and filed a complaint for registering an FIR against the above three people.
Ramkanda police station in-charge Surendra Singh Kutia said that a complaint has been received about selling a minor in Patna. The matter is being investigated. Action will be taken against the culprits.
