A mega plantation drive campaign ‘Poshan Nivesh’ held on Wednesday in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband district has been felicitated by the Golden Book of World Records.
The Chhattisgarh Head of the Golden Book of World Records, Sonal Sharma, feted Gariaband Collector Deepak Agrawal, an official statement said. Around 17,000 newly married, pregnant and other women planted 85,000 saplings in a district-wise drive. The women took an oath of taking care and growing these saplings.
A pregnant woman, Chandani Kansari of Paragaon village, planted five saplings each of jackfruit, drumstick, guava, mango and lemon at her residence.
