Permanent solution to the water logging issue should be made, said BMC Mayor while visiting at waterlogged area at Alpana Talkies trisection in Bhopal, vehicles remained stuck for 1 hour.
This situation troubled several commuters. There was around 2 ft of water on the main road due to this, Mayor Malti Rai reached Alpana Talkies crossing on Thursday morning and inspected it. She said that a permanent solution is being found for the problem of waterlogging.
Mayor Rai inspected with PWD officers. He said, PWD has received approval for the construction of Hamidia Road. PWD will build a 2 ft high drain on both sides, but we have demanded a 4 ft high drain, so that the problem is solved. After the construction of the drain, there will be no waterlogging and pedestrians will not face any problem in commuting.

Due to rain, there was a long jam on the road from Nadra bus stand to Chhola from 3 to 4 pm on Wednesday. Hundreds of vehicles were stuck in it. Rain water also accumulated on the road connecting Chhola road from Alpana Talkies Tiraha and Bhopal station platform number six.
Due to this, traffic jams kept occurring. It took 1 to 1.5 hours for the traffic to become normal. Due to this, the mayor reached the spot for inspection on Thursday.
