Aishbagh police have booked a man for sexually assaulting his ex-wife for three years on the pretext of remarrying her, police have started investigation, no arrest has been made so far in the case.

The victim woman had divorced her husband five years ago. Later, the victim married another man. However, the ex-husband remained in touch with her and lured her for remarriage and kept the ex-wife with him. When he did not marry her again even after sexually exploiting her for three years, the woman complained about the matter to the police. The police have registered a case under rape sections and started investigation.

The police said that the 35-year-old woman lives in the Aishbagh area. She got divorced from her husband about five years ago. After this, she married another youth living in Qazi Camp and started living there. She had two children from her ex-husband.

After the divorce, the ex-husband used to come to meet the children and kept in touch with the woman. During the frequent meetings, the ex-husband told the woman to leave her present husband and marry him again.

After marriage, he will live with the woman and the children like a family. The woman, influenced by her ex-husband, divorced the man with whom she had second marriage. After this, she started living with her ex-husband and children in the Aishbagh area. The ex-husband said that he will marry the woman again as per the customs and rituals in front of the society and give her the status of a wife.

The ex-husband kept sexually abusing the woman for three years but did not marry her. Every time he used to postpone the matter by making some excuse or the other. Frustrated, the woman complained about the matter in Aishbagh police station yesterday. The police have registered a case of rape against the divorced husband and started investigation.
