Scheduled to kick off from February 12 to 14 in the rustic charm of Kila Raipur village, this year’s edition promises an exhilarating fusion of sportsmanship, culture, and tradition, all under the auspices of the Punjab government.
The Minister, in a statement resonating with zeal, underscored the Punjab Government's unwavering commitment to reviving the state's sporting legacy. “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, we are dedicated to fostering a thriving sports culture, providing unequivocal support to the organizing committee of the Rural Olympics,” she said.
The Rural Olympics, a beloved tradition steeped in Punjab's rich heritage, will feature an eclectic array of events including Hockey, Kabbadi, Wrestling, cycling, race, tug of war, and more. Beyond the adrenaline-pumping action on the field, attendees can expect to be enthralled by captivating cultural performances by renowned singers, adding an extra layer of vibrancy to the festivities.
Minister also pledged the full backing of the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department to elevate the profile of the Games to unprecedented heights, amplifying their reach and resonance both nationally and globally.
