Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Tuesday, mocked the infighting going on in the State BJP and the party said that nobody is safe in BJP.

Addressing a press meet JMM General Secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya took a dig at the ongoing infighting in Jharkhand BJP. Regarding Ranchi MP and Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth's visit to Jharkhand, he said that he now has the additional responsibility of ensuring the safety of BJP leaders and workers. He said that there is a big question on the security of BJP leaders in Jharkhand. “Wherever their review meeting takes place, there is a law and order crisis. According to media reports, what happened recently in Dumka and Deoghar is quite gruesome. Criminal types of people who have contact with the Godda MP abused and assaulted the Deoghar MLA,” he added.

“The above incidents tell what is the conduct, character and face of the BJP. This is no longer the same BJP. Its effect is visible in the central leadership as well. The appointment of election in-charges is proof of this,” said Bhattacharya.

The party General Secretary said that the BJP has appointed Shivraj Singh Chauhan as the election In-Charge of Jharkhand. “Himanta Biswa Sarma has been appointed Co-In-Charge. There is a frenzy in Himanta's statements. The same is the condition of BJP workers. They abuse their own leaders. Leaders who come to participate in review meetings are pushed and shoved. Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu was pushed and shoved by BJP workers in Dumka. Balmukund Sahay who had gone from Garhwa was abused. BJP should train its own workers and bring them to meetings to know how to behave,” he added.

Bhattacharya said that JMM wanted the BJP to fight the State assembly elections against JMM as the opposition but they are fighting among themselves. “Babulal Marandi is the State Chief. The question to him is why does he not go to every review meeting himself? BJP leaders themselves say that we lost in Dumka because of Modi. How ironic it is that BJP's elected MLAs are not safe. They are in danger from their own workers. To what depths is politics going? Supriyo Bhattacharya said that Nishikant Dubey came from Bihar and won the election from a parliamentary seat in Jharkhand four times. After this, he got the natives beaten up. Goons are being called from UP and Bihar. We are not saying this, Narayan Das himself has claimed this,” he added.

On the question of funding to Jairam Mahto, Bhattacharya said that we do not have any B or C team, we are one team. Only the BJP does such work. On seat sharing in the assembly elections, Bhattacharya said that JMM, Congress, RJD and Left will contest elections on 81 seats together. Regarding AJSU, he said that the purpose for which the party was formed and the way it was later sold was bound to happen.
