With the efforts of Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren, the boys and girls who are victims of human trafficking are being freed and rehabilitated in their homes. In the same sequence, the Integrated Rehabilitation cum Resource Center, New Delhi, operated by the Department of Women and Child Development, rescued a 10-year-old boy who was missing from human trafficking.
The 23-year-old boy who was missing for the last 10 years was rescued by Jharkhand Bhawan, New Delhi, by conducting an intensive rescue operation in New Delhi and Haryana and conducting raids at various places.
It is known that when the boy was brought to Delhi by human traffickers 10 years ago, he was about 13 years old. The boy had no contact with the family for 10 years. Even after the father searched for the last several years, no information about the boy was found. In this regard, a complaint was registered at Barhet police station in Sahebganj district of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Police also searched for the boy for many years, but could not find any clue.
After this, Jharkhand Bhawan, New Delhi was informed about this 5 days ago. Taking immediate action, a team was formed by Nodal Officer Nachiketa of Jharkhand Bhawan, New Delhi. The boy's father had given the mobile number of a placement agency. On extracting the information of that mobile, it was found that the number belonged to a travel agency.
Running a secret mission by Jharkhand Bhawan, Jharkhand Bhawan employees Rahul Singh and Nirmala Khalkho and Mission Mukti Foundation Director Virendra Singh contacted the travel agency owner over the phone by posing as passengers and went to his office and caught him.
The owner of the agency said that he was the one who had employed the child. Tracking the mobile number of the owner of the house where the child was employed, when the rescue team went to his office, it was found that the owner had shifted the office to another place 2 to 3 years ago.
Jharkhand Bhawan, New Delhi conducted a joint raid at the residence of the said owner in Panipat, Haryana and New Delhi with the help of local police and local NGO. The child was not found there, but another 17-year-old boy from Jharkhand was found at the Delhi residence, who was being made to do household and office work.
Jharkhand Bhawan rescued the child and counselled him and handed him over to the concerned local police and requested them to take further action and the family was strictly instructed to hand over the child who was missing for 10 years. The boy who was missing for 10 years was sent safely to his family in Jharkhand the next day. Virendra Singh, Director of Mission Mukti Foundation, a local NGO in New Delhi and Akshay from Rescue Foundation played an important role in this rescue operation.
It is known that Integrated Rehabilitation cum Resource Center, New Delhi is an integral part of Jharkhand Bhawan, which is run by the Department of Women and Child Development. All this action was taken on the instructions of the Resident Commissioner of Jharkhand Bhawan.
