Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92. After getting information about Singh's death, Governor Santosh Gangwar, Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato, BJP State President Babulal Marandi and others have expressed condolences.
Governor Santosh Gangwar said, "The news of the death of former Prime Minister of the country Dr. Manmohan Singh is very sad. His contribution as Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Finance Minister and Prime Minister will always be remembered. In this hour of grief, I express my deepest condolences to his family members.''
Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato has expressed condolences on the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. The president said that he is saddened by the demise of former Prime Minister of the country Dr. Manmohan Singh. "He was the father of India's economic development. He will always be remembered for the kind of plans he made for the strengthening of the Indian economy while being the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Finance Minister of India and Prime Minister of India," he added.
Former Chief Minister and the State Chief Minister Babulal Marandi said, "The mind is saddened by the sad news of the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji, a great economist, a simple, easy-going and gentle personality. His contribution to the economic reforms of the country will always be unforgettable. May God give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense grief." Champai Soren said, "I am deeply saddened by the sad news of the demise of former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh ji. - May God give peace to his soul and strength to the family and supporters to bear this grief."
Union Minister Annapurna Devi wrote that I am shocked by the news of the demise of former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. "His contribution to Indian politics will always be remembered. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant a place to the departed soul in his feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this shock. Om Shanti," she added.
Health Minister Dr Irfan Ansari wrote that with the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, the country has lost a true patriot, great economist and a symbol of simplicity. "His visionary leadership proved to be a boon for India during the economic crisis of 1991. His reforms improved the lives of crores of Indians," he added.
The Congress leader further wrote that as Prime Minister, he took historic steps like information revolution, MNREGA, farmers' loan waiver and right to education, whose benefits India is still reaping. Every Indian will always be indebted to his honesty, humility and national service. This is a historic loss. Humble tribute.
Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav wrote that the demise of former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh is the end of an era. "His simplicity, grasp on the economy and selfless service will always be an inspiration for the country. May his soul rest in peace," he added. The minister has also reposted RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's post.
Apart from this, leaders of other political parties including Jharkhand Congress, BJP, JMM and common people paid emotional tribute on the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh ji.
