Applications sought for recruitment in Army Boys Sports Company

Chandigarh: The Indian Army has invited applications for recruitment in the Army Boys Sports Company in the Madras Engineering Group and Centre, Bangalore, for competitions in boxing, hockey, sailing, and swimming for the age group of eight to 14 from February 5 to 8, 2024. Spokesperson said that there will be trials in two age categories. In the first category, the player's age should be between February 5, 2010, and February 5, 2016, and they should have passed the III standard. In the second category, player's age should be between February 5, 2008, and February 4, 2010, and they should have cleared at least the VIII standard, having won medals in national/international sports competitions in the mentioned games.

 

Rana appointed SOI’s national president

Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday appointed Ranbir Singh Dhillon Rana as the national president of party’s student wing — Students Organisation of India (SoI) — with immediate effect. Announcing this, senior SAD leader Daljit Singh Cheema said that Dhillon is a hardworking and young leader who will spearhead movement to strengthen Akali Dal with students studying in different universities and colleges. SoI has branches in all the major universities of the Punjab and in some others outside Punjab.

 

Ration cards given to beneficiaries during Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra prog

Ambala: During the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a programme was organized on Sunday at Seva Samiti Chowk in Ambala district, where ration cards of many people and elderly were generated on the spot. Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that those who have been deprived of government schemes are now easily getting Ayushman cards, ration cards on the spot, while pensions, loans, and other benefits are also being provided on the spot. During the programme, yellow ration cards of two elderly individuals were made after many years.

 

Minister distributes Rs 90,95,250 cheques to various Gaushalas in Sirsa

Sirsa: Haryana Energy Minister Ranjit Singh on Sunday visited various villages in Sirsa district and heard public grievances. He directed the officers to resolve all the grievances promptly. The Minister also distributed cheques, amounting to Rs 90,95,250, to various gaushalas in the district during a programme organized at Dera Baba Munga Nath Gaushala in Kharian village. Singh said that the development of every region in the state is the government's topmost priority, and significant development projects, amounting to crores of rupees, have been completed in this sector, and several new projects have been approved, which will be implemented soon.

 

Laddu distribution in Chandigarh on Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha

Chandigarh: BJP’s Chandigarh unit on Saturday started distribution of 150 quintals of pure ghee laddus among the devotees across the city on the occasion of consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Monday. The campaign was started by state BJP president Jatinder Malhotra from Sector 18’s Radha Krishna Temple. Malhotra said that in celebration of the consecration of Lord Ram Temple, BJP Chandigarh is distributing pure ghee laddus in the entire city, and these laddus will be delivered to all the BJP districts in the city for door-to-door distribution.

Chandigarh: A HR conclave, about AI impact on HR practices and strategies, was held at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies at Sarangpur on Sunday. Taking part in the panel discussions during the conclave, industry leaders and HR professionals discussed how to develop resilience in the workplace and manage and retain performance in a hybrid workforce.

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Tohana, Jakhal city on Jan 22, 23

Chandigarh: Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister Devender Singh Babli will participate as chief guest in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra to be held in Tohana and Jakhal city on January 22 and 23. The yatra — to be held on January 22 at 11 am at BDPO Office Ratia Road Tohana; at 3 pm at Anaj Mandi Ground, Jakhal Mandi; and on January 23 at 11 am at Mini Secretariat Ground, Tohana; and 3 pm at New Anaj Mandi Railway Road, Tohana — will raise awareness of the central and state government welfare schemes to the people, said government official spokesperson.
