The Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal jointly with the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun, organized the Mid-Career Training (MCT) Phase III "Management Module" from June 18 to 22, 2024.
With participation of 58 IFS officers across the country, inaugural ceremony of the programme was graced by the presence of Aseem Shrivastav, PCCF & HoFF, Madhya Pradesh (Chief Guest); Dr K. Ravichandran, Director, IIFM; Shri Kunal Angrish, Course Director, IGNFA; Dr CP Kala, Course Director, IIFM and Dr Manmohan Yadav, Dean, IIFM.
In his Inaugural address, Aseem Shrivastav, PCCF & HoFF (MP), discussed upon the various bio-diversity management and conservation models developed by the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department. K Ravichandran, Director, IIFM highlighted the critical importance of the module, tailored to enhance the managerial skills of the officers and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and competencies for effective forest management.
This week-long program featured sessions led by distinguished experts, covering vital topics such as Strategic Management, Financial Management, Business Communication, Interpersonal Skills and Team Building, Emotional Intelligence and Strategic Workplace Communication, "FACT" - Fresh Answers through Creative Rethinking, Protected Area Management and Voluntary Relocation of Villages, Digital Technologies and Resource Management, and the Science of Positivity and Happiness for Leaders. During this programme, the participants also embarked on an exposure visit to the state's World Heritage sites.
